Travel: King Harbor Marina in Redondo Beach, California
Friday, March 17, 2017
On one of my trips to the US, we once had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory in California. If you happen to watch the TV series 'The Big Bang Theory', this is the restaurant where Penny works as a waitress. It's a chain restaurant in the US with branches in different states and is famous for serving large portion of high calories meals and of course a wide selection of cheesecakes and other desserts.
However, this post in not about The Cheesecake Factory as a restaurant. This is about Redondo Beach where this restaurant has a branch. This place is extra special for me because I loved how it is strategically located. It happens to be situated near a marina, a pier and a beachfront!
Although our main purpose of going there is to have a goodbye dinner with new found friends before proceeding to the airport for our flight back to Manila, we can't help but go out of the resto and check out its surrounding beauty -- especially the King Harbor Marina. Our orders took some time to prepare so our waiting time was gladly spent doing photoshoot near the marina. Besides, we have a good photographer on our group so better take the opportunity to model for him, haha!
The marina was very pretty especially since the sun is almost retiring at that time. It projected orange rays of light which added more drama to the pictures. With the rows of yachts and the setting sun in sight, it was such a lovely way to spend our last few hours in the American land before heading back home.
