Costume: Little Farmer (Buwan ng Wika)

This costume was an easy peasy because everything was ready made. It was a last minute decision for Kiel to join the Buwan ng Wika activity in school, hence I was not able to do some DIY.

I asked his yaya to go to Marikina Palengke because surely there will be someone selling national costumes there for a cheaper price compared to the mall. Almost all schools in Manila require their students to dress up in a Filipino costume come August.

His costume consists of the following:

1. Salakot - P50
2. Camisa de Chino - P75
3. Red pants with red scarf - P120
4. Brown sandals - Kiel's own

As expected, come costume day he was not alone wearing this costume, haha!

Here are more pics of him before we dropped him for school. Please disregard the milk bottle he is holding. I know, its so not bagay for the costume, haha! He just won't let us take it away.

Good thing that he used the salakot though. He is not fond of anything we put over his head. A little trick I did was to familiarize him with this hat days before the event. I made him wear the salakot while strolling around our compound, haha. Turned out to be effective naman.
