Baguio City

Before I went to Baguio, I've never been outside the country. And just like mostly everyone else in this country, I also wanted to experience winter. However, since wala pa chance and Baguio is the nearest that I could experience the cold weather, I gladly accepted when my roomate in Pasig invited me to go there.

We were both excited kasi it was our first time travelling together and kikay din siya just like me. We prepared different OOTDs talaga for different days..HAHA

  1. I loved Baguio the moment I stepped foot on its land. Listed below are some of the things I loved on my short stay there.
  2. Of course, first to love is their weather. It was incomparable with what we have in Manila and even in our province. So saya sa feeling if hindi malagkit and maalinsangan.
  3. I loved how people wear jackets even in the middle of the day. There's something about jackets, especially hoodies which makes me kilig.
  4. You can ride a cab with the aircon turned off. Just open the window and fresh air ang magiging aircon mo...HAHA
  5. Flowers are everywhere. And trees...pines trees especially! Feels like Christmas anytime.
  6. The atmosphere. Even if its a busy street, I don't feel the stress. Maybe because of the weather. Or the fact that I'm on vacation...HAHA
  7. Ukay-ukay. I'm not a fan but I enjoyed buying some stuff there.
  8. Fashion. I love how you can wear the likes of boots and fur jackets there without getting curious looks from people. If you wear that in Manila, sobrang conscious sa feeling. I liked how people dress up in Baguio especially when its cold at night. It's like watching a fashion show along the streets..aliw lang!

We went to the usual tourist spots. We went to the Cathedral where we attended a mass we can't understand since it was in their dialect. We also tried riding the swan boat in Burnham Park and site seeing in Mines View Park. Stood at the gate of The Mansion, and visited the Butterfly farm which was a disappointment since the butterflies weren't what we expected.Strawberry picking is also a must when going there so we also tried going to La Trinidad for that.

We were lucky when we went to PMA since it was their graduation day. We witnessed the students in action on their parade grounds. I thought we were also lucky to ride the PMA bus from their campus going back to the gate entrance.

Overall it was a fun experience and girl bonding with my housemate. We oftentimes found ourselves with our hands full of things we bought along the way so we had to go back to our rented place to deposit it. Then we'll head out again and continue with our itinerary.
