Hundred Islands, Pangasinan

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

My former roomate in Makati invited me to join them on a day trip to Hundred Islands in Pangasinan. Her cousin from UK came to visit the Philippines and they've been island hopping in different parts of the country for a few weeks already.

We met in Makati the night before the trip and very early -- as in 2 or 3 am ata, we boarded the bus going to Pangasinan. We arrived just in time before sunrise and was able to witness the calmness of the sea.

We had to rent a boat for our group, we were 4 girls by the way, and we started island hopping agad agad. Some of the islands were so small and some big enough to dock the boat and explore. After a few hours, we settled for a nice island with fine sand and started swimming. It felt like we owned the place since nobody shared the island with us. Of course mejo konting ilang lang since manong bangkero had no choice but to stay in the island and wait for us ^_^.

A few hours after lunch time we needed to go back to the main island since waves tend to be bigger and the ocean becomes rough late in the afternoon. We also can't stay on the islands since there's no electricity and I'm not sure if there's a place to spend the night there.

It was just a day trip but I think its just enough since we arrived early and had the time to fully enjoy the group of islands before going back to Manila.
